Mark Vince RVN
Head Veterinary Nurse
What distinguishes Mark from the crowd is his passion for communication with humans, as well as animals. Mark's understanding nature and positive outlook have set him up to be a natural leader who takes everything in his stride and we are proud to have him at the helm of our nursing team. Over the years Mark has acted as mentor for many trainees and produced many excellent nurses (including another of our RVNs, Haylee, who trained with him!).
Qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in 1999, Mark has enjoyed a distinguished career and was even a top 3 finalist in the 2008 Pet Plan Vet Nurse of the Year awards. Having been Head Nurse at The Animal Clinic in Catford for the last 14 years, Mark was up for a new challenge and we were lucky enough to snap him up.
As a nurse, Mark most enjoys helping animals through the recovery phase, teaching and training students so that they can become super nurses like him and the challenge of knowing that every day will bring a new and varied experience. His ultimate focus is the wellbeing of all animals and Mark particularly enjoys guiding and advising animal owners and our team to ensure the animals under our care receive the best possible treatment.
Married to Claire, Mark is father to 13 year old Jade as well as 2 rescue cats, Sophie and Zola. To say he is a football fan would be something of an understatement, given that he cites Chelsea winning the champions league as one of the happiest moments of his life. He also enjoys running and aims to compete in races for various animal charities in the near future.
